In 2005 the Tourist Inn Benefit Committee wanted to do something that would enable them to get together all year round. The idea was suggested to send things to our fighting men and women in Iraq and Afghanistan, to thank them for defending our freedom and putting their lives on the line day after day to keep our friends and families safe. The name Tourist Inn Friends for Freedom or T.I.F.F. came from this idea.
It was then that we decided to send care packages to local service people. We got a name of a local soldier serving in Iraq and mailed off our first care package. To date we have mailed out 170 boxes containing items such as tooth brushes, toothpaste, candy, peanuts, beef jerky, shampoo, chips, pretzels, etc. This is just a small way of saying thank you to our service men and women, and let them know that they are not forgotten, and that we are very grateful for what they do each and every day.
We're looking for donations to send to the soldiers over seas. Including; non-parishable food, personal hygien products, books, magizines, ECT... money to help with the cost of postage.

If you know a soldier over seas and have the address drop it off at the Tourist Inn or e-mail us at the address on the right, we're always looking for new soldiers to send our care packages.
