Bikini Bike/Car Wash for Shayla Saylor
The Tourist Inn held a Bikini Bike/Car wash on August 15th at 1:00 PM. All proceeds from the event went  to benefit Shayla Saylor, the Tourist Inn Benefit Committee's 2009 sponsor child. The weather was great and we had a good turnout. Shayla and her family came to the event and helped out with washing the bikes and cars. Our thanks to all who helped out with the event, and those who donated. Pictures can be seen in our Picture Gallery.

Ed Krepps 3rd Annual Charity Ride

The 3rd annual Ed Krepps Charity Run (to benefit Ed's Granddaughter Trinity Wyman Special Needs Trust Fund) was held on Saturday June 20th,  2009. We'd like to thank the US Military Veterans Motorcycle Club and everyone who braved the rain to attend. The run started  with registration at the Valley Tavern.
From there we went to Goofy's, Bainbridge, Wrightsville Inn, then to the Tourist Inn. At the Tourist Inn we had great food, door prizes, and DJ MC. Thanks again to all who attended and we're looking forward to next year! Pictures from the event can be seen here.

Military Appreciation Night
On April 6th we had a Military Appreciation Dinner in the ballroom at the Tourist Inn. It was a nice turn out. There was great food donated by the members of TIFF. All the military personnel were asked to stand up front and introduce themselves, their unit and branch of military they are in or were in. After which everyone else thanked them for their service and protecting our country by a standing ovation. When everyone was finished eating, together we packed 8 more boxes to ship over to the soldiers. All in all it was a wonderful and enjoyable evening. We would like to thank all the soldiers and veterans who came out and joined us. It was our honor having you all there with us. We would like to thank all of our Military Men and Women for their service to us and our Country. May God Bless you all and keep you safe.

Military Veterans Motorcycle Club Chili Cook-Off
The 1st Annual US Military Veterans Motorcycle Club chili cook off was held Feb. 28th at the Tourist Inn. There were 21 vendors and over 100 people took part in the cook off. Everyone had a good time and enjoyed the chili made by all.

The winner of the Hottest Chili was Valley Tavern.
The winner of The Best Over All Chili was Kirk & Kirk w/Licker.
